YOUTH ADVOCATES
DA Youth Advocates is a non-profit youth organization in Blythewood/Columbia, South Carolina, started by Anthony B. Williams a US Navy Retired Disable Veteran with a BA degree in Social Work and 16 years in the behavior intervention/modification and youth advocacy profession. Carrie (medically retired nurse) is the co-founder; she has been assisting in saving the youth along side of Anthony, DA Youth Advocates was once Hot Dog and Talk founded in Virginia Beach VA 2005.

What We Do
DA (DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS) YOUTH ADVOCATES help the youth stay out of trouble and equips
them with the skills and resources they need to become independent and self-sufficient members of their
communities. Our programs include:
Life Coach
Teaching youth emotional and behavioral regulation techniques. Collaborating with clients to develop action plans that center on the actualization of their stated ambitions. Evaluating clients’ advancement toward goal actualization. Encouraging continued and sustainable progress.

It is with great please that I recommend Mr. Anthony Williams for the task that he is willing to
accomplish. I have known Mr. Williams for five years as a colleague at Richland One School
District. There is no doubt in my mind that he will excel and exceed your expectations at this
venture.
He is a man of sound character, disciplined, flexible, optimistic, and resilient. This would
describe him as a person with a great sense of ambition. In addition to that, I have witnessed how
passionate he is about working with children of all strata of life. His mere existence surrounds
helping students physically, socially, and emotionally. He has a track record of turning around the
life of the marginalized and outcasts of the public school system. Over the years, I have seen his
growth as he morphs into a man who has excellent communication skills. I have developed
respect for both his work ethic and problem-solving ability. He would be an asset to work with
for the simple fact that he knows the benefits of being a positive addition to any team.

Mr. Anthony has helped me tremendously as a single mom (divorced)with a high functional autistic son sometimes it’s difficult explaining things or having talks with James(deuce). James will google, that’s when you’ve to really break down and make James understand the research he has seen on the internet.

James now has a male mentor/life coach he can talk freely to when he doesn’t want to talk to mom about male things (school puberty & etc.) . Example I mentioned about sex and keeping your hands to yourself when it comes to girls you can look but don’t stare maybe a quick glance it depends on how you’re looking at girls learning to control your hormones in case your private area does something it shouldn’t do when you see a pretty girl Deuce would give me a strange look or say I don’t want to talk about that with you you’re a girl mom.
Anthony (DA Youth Advocate) settled my mind, he is helping me raise my son into a good male while teachings him mannerisms, respect for others, how to act, and say things around people also doing activities showing James what other males can do & etc. James father is deceased (2018) he wasn’t accepting to James having autism he saw James from time to time but it wasn’t a father/son bond I’ve friends & family but they weren’t too understanding to help me with James so I’m very blessed Anthony (DA Youth Advocate) takes out time with James. James even text and calls Mr. Anthony it makes my heart smile knowing my son has someone he can trust besides mom and his sister when it comes to life situations.
